Food Review: California Shabu Shabu

(((( - 4 moon rating
The never ending search for the next best shabu joint in SoCal continues here @ California Shabu Shabu (Costa Mesa, CA). As you can see, this spot is catered to those young. Murals, urban vinyl on display, etc. The verdict: the location was somewhat far for my 626 taste, but the taste of the beef was top notch (and comes in a higher grade for a slightly higher price). The quality of the beef is comparable to that of Shabu Shabu House (this eatery needs no intro). However, what ups the ante at this restaurant is they serve liquor! Beer and sake...can't lose.
